Essential Companion Tickets
We offer a complimentary Essential Companion ticket for customers who would be unable to attend the event without the support of another person.
We work with Nimbus Disability and its Access Card scheme to assess eligibility for Essential Companion tickets consistently, securely and independently.
Who Is an Essential Companion Ticket For?
An Essential Companion ticket is intended for a person whose presence is necessary to enable a disabled visitor to attend and access the event.
- The companion must be able to provide the support required by the disabled visitor throughout the event.
- The companion must hold a valid Essential Companion ticket booked through TicketSource.
- Essential Companion tickets are not general concessions or discounted tickets for friends, family members or carers who are not required for access reasons.
Do You Already Have an Access Card or Digital Access Pass?
You do not need to complete another Nimbus application if you already hold either:
- A valid Nimbus Access Card displaying the +1 symbol; or
- A valid Blindspot Gigs Digital Access Pass that confirms an Essential Companion requirement.
If you hold either of these, please go straight to How to Book Your Tickets. Enter your Access Card or Digital Access Pass number into the TicketSource booking system, and once the number has been validated you will be able to book one complimentary Essential Companion ticket.

How Eligibility Is Assessed
Nimbus Disability assesses applications on our behalf. Its trained team reviews the information and supporting evidence provided and allocates symbols representing the applicant's access requirements.
Stow Firework Spectacular does not receive or assess your medical evidence. Nimbus will confirm the relevant access information to us through your registration or Access Card number.
Free Blindspot Gigs Digital Access Pass
- You can apply through Nimbus for a free Blindspot Gigs Digital Access Pass. Blindspot Gigs is the organiser of Stow Firework Spectacular, and the pass can be used for all events organised by Blindspot Gigs.
- During the application, you will be asked to describe the barriers you face and provide relevant supporting evidence.
- Once approved, you will receive a Digital Access Pass number that can be entered into the TicketSource booking system.
- The Blindspot Gigs Digital Access Pass is valid for three years and can be used when booking eligible access provisions for all events organised by Blindspot Gigs.
Please only apply if you do not already hold a valid Access Card or Blindspot Gigs Digital Access Pass.

The Access Card
Alternatively, you can apply for a full Access Card or use an existing valid Access Card.
- The Access Card communicates access requirements through a set of recognised symbols.
- It can be used with participating venues, attractions, events and ticketing providers beyond Stow Firework Spectacular.
- The Access Card costs £15 and is valid for three years.
- You do not need to purchase a full Access Card solely to apply for an Essential Companion ticket at a Blindspot Gigs event; the Blindspot Gigs Digital Access Pass is free.
How to Book Your Tickets
- Have your valid Access Card or Blindspot Gigs Digital Access Pass number to hand.
- Visit the Stow Firework Spectacular booking page on TicketSource.
- Enter your Access Card or Digital Access Pass number when prompted during the booking process.
- Once your number has been validated, you will be able to add one complimentary Essential Companion ticket to your booking.
- Book the disabled visitor's admission ticket and the Essential Companion ticket together in the same transaction.
Important Information
- An Essential Companion ticket cannot be booked until the relevant Access Card or Blindspot Gigs Digital Access Pass has been approved and validated.
- Approval by Nimbus confirms an access requirement; it does not reserve tickets or guarantee admission if the event has sold out.
- The disabled visitor and their Essential Companion must attend the event together.
- The Essential Companion ticket is valid only for the same event date and admission type as the disabled visitor's ticket.
- Essential Companion tickets cannot be sold, transferred or used independently.
Event Accessibility
An Essential Companion ticket provides complimentary admission for an accompanying person whose support is required by a disabled visitor during the event. Please read our Your Visit accessibility information for details of the terrain, pathways, crowds, toilets, seating, lighting and other conditions at the event.
